FREE TASTER WEEK

On Tuesday 19th and Wednesday 20th January we are opening our doors to anyone who would like to give our classes a go.

If you've got a child who is always singing, dancing or putting on shows or maybe a child who is a little shy and you're looking for a hobby that could help develop their confidence, then our classes may be the perfect fit for them.

The sessions are completely free and they will be joining in activities with our other regular students so they'll get the real Rhapsody experience. There is no obligation to join after the free session, this is an opportunity for them to discover and explore their creativeness and see if the performing arts is for them.

All we need you to do is check the timetable below to see which sessions are available and complete the taster sign-up form.

FAQs

What should my child wear to the session?

We ask that all children wear comfortable clothing as they will be taking part in acting, movement and dance sessions. We also ask that they wear trainers or school pumps, for health and safety reasons Uggs, Boots, Flip Flops, Sandals are no appropriate. We also recommend they bring a hoodie or jumper.

How much are the lesson fees and when do I pay?

Fees are paid at the start of each half term. Details of the costs of our lessons can be found here

Does my child need to bring a snack or a drink?

We recommend that your child brings a drink with them to the session. Our sessions are packed full of activities so there isn't usually time for a snack

My child can be a little nervous, can parents stay to watch?

Due to the current COVID-19 Guidelines we are unable to allow any parents into the building. Children are dropped off at the main entrance 5 minutes before the class start time and parents are asked to wait outside when collecting children.

What opportunities will my child have by joining Rhapsody?

We have regular performance opportunities for our students including our regular theatre showcases and presentation nights. In 2020 we will be entering students for graded exams in Drama and Musical Theatre and when your child is ready they can also be entered for exams. In 2020 we have planned some Musical Theatre workshops with guest industry professionals who will teach material from West End Musicals and also talk about their experiences of the performing arts. We are also in the process of planning a theatre trip for some of our students which we are very excited about. We pride ourselves on nurturing friendships and often run social evenings like our recent 'Popcorn and PJ night' and our annual Christmas Party.
